A strong leader is constantly testing his ideas…testing, and retesting.
Wanting to be the worlds best teacher - will never get you sued…Passion for being the best -- wins – every time!
POLITICAL CORRECTNESS DESTROYS “PRIDE” on “Main Street.”
Here’s the problem, your Superintendent has been promoted from teacher to a management position.Bad news for your Son…
This is Not a good place to learn how to manage…Your Son needs a cream-of-the-crop manager…Not a man who is learning how…
And, to get this moneymaking piece of paper -- a PhD committee has to approve Poetic Gibberish to get…approval for a degree.
Committees, who kiss-up to each other, are
bamboozled by weak – do nothing words.
And, each committee - in each Teacher College – has, strangely…a useless untested -- academic theory.A good question IS…Schools are failing!What happened?

“I do not trust a man – of – letters…they manufacture phrases.”
School Superintendents want to look good…around your -- campfire.
I suggest they read: President Abraham Lincoln. He would NOT have tolerated work, without results.
So what is our problem?
It’s so obvious—Your School Superintendent IS a want-to-be-intellectual! That’s it! He IS… analyzing the analysis of the analysis…
It’s called: “Fake it till you make it. ”If he can make his work appear more complicated than it is… he foolishly thinks -- ”I now – Are - Professional.”
Horsepucky!
Your infant son proved learning is not complicated.
Guess what?Simplicity has been the MAGIC PRODUCTIVE word since the beginning of time…
Remember the old design principle: KISS…“Keep it simple stupid.”

I’d like to drive a 6–inch nail through the Superintendents office doors…Why?So he… cannot waste his time behind-the-big-walnut-desk…
An effective manager knows… he must lend support, give encouragement, and make decisions, on the street…where the problems are.
Your School Superintendent has been reading…too many highfalutin theories.I’m not trying to be mean…but come on…Chief…
Reading is like steroids to the brain…
Let’s read about successful leadership: Lincoln, General Patton, Jack Welch, coach John Wooden, Vince Lombardi and 100 more.
You are…You become -- what you read!
Supervisors think $10.00 words create Your-Peace-of-Mind.
I don’t think so :Read and wonder Why… Hypothesis, postulatum, theorem, thesis, postulate, conjecturable, premise, syllogism, and many more worth less than a thin dime… Hell, I can’t pronounce some of them…
These create a wild and foolish assumption: “Learning is extremely complicated.” Wrong again. Do you really think your Son wants to continue studying…algebra; dissect frogs, and study birds and bees?
These words have no practical use in our “Give me money now” society…
You and I must never forget:
Capitalism Created our Great Country…
Not Intellectualism…Not ten-dollar words.
The last two years of High School - totally ignore… Best Selling Books of all-time. One has been the # 2 Bible for successful businessmen…happy functional families…for 50 years…
There are a half-dozen other great books.My first suggestion IS:
“How To Win Friends and Influence People.” By Dale Carnegie…
I read this book when I was sixteen.I remember when working in Wilson Hardware in Live Oak, Calif…a cranky rich old lady who hated every living creature…suddenly learned how to smile.
This incident changed her attitude, and mine.It proved…my newfound Dale Carnegie-social skills do work…Suddenly, “I’m no longer a “punk kid.” “Hey MOM, it feels good to be a real person.”
A wish for you…If you and I ever come face-to-face to help your Son…I suggest you at least skim -- Dale Carnegies book first…Our conversation will be short and sweet because we are on the same page. “
If your Son never reads another book…This should be the book. Every High School Student should know the Human Relations Principles in this book…They will positively change your world…Yep.

More than all textbooks used in four years of High School…Unless his passion IS… “I want to be a professional doctor, lawyer, engineer, etc.”
Your SON deserves the best coach possible everyday of his life.Let’s face it -- common sense has taken the back seat in our High Schools…
Get down dirty nail-biting results are not in the picture…
The reality is, teenagers think they can improve the art of being -- Great Lovers and Parents…
Few parents, almost none -- have had this experience
Intense small group discussions that continue for hours with a focus on two words…”LOVE and PARENTING.”
BELIEVE ME—ONE CLASS A DAY…WITH THIS TOPIC WILL STOP HIGH SCHOOL DROPOUTS -- INSTANTLY…
I’ve been there…done that…its intense education…Education that will motivate…satisfy your son’s needs and his curiosity.
“ATTENTION TEACHERS” YOU WANT SUCCESSFUL STUDENTS Let them control your classroom…just one hour today!
And then, try it again next week.
Your son will eventually discover there is no such thing as a perfect parent; it’s a lesson he has to learn on his own…without help….
Before I forget another favorite word young men want to study is courage.Who doesn’t want to be a hero?Counselors can discuss the word courage for hours…
Great writers and inventors -- Thomas Edison for instance -- created more than Academic fantasies.
It’s a foolish fantasy for your School Superintendent to say, “I want scientists and engineers.”It’s like YOU saying, “I want money.”It’s never going to happen…Unless he discovers:
A practical skill…making his individual personality valuable to his
community, “Giving a service.”Read: Schopenhauer. Page 154.

Incidentally – the policy…”No child left behind,” is NOT a goal, it’s a Public Relations Nightmare…

Your Big School Boss…has a PhD degree.So his training has taught him how to design pages -- in a teacher’s manual.He is by nature an Academic.
Ask him,“Have you helped my son learn how to make a buck today?”
Instead he has written a system he thinks will permanently solve his problems…

Systems without hourly proof of results…do not work. (I explain the need for the balance in my book.)
Passionate teachers make ideas work…Not systems in a manual.

Simple-Tough-Result-Making decisions are not being made!

Your Superintendents favorite word is: Excellence. A dictionary defines excellence…capable of producing “Good qualities.”WOW.
Imagine this: The L.A. Lakers trying to be excellent? To be excellent would be like trying to put a marsh mellow in a keyhole.
No Challenge!Lakers, very much -- like every teenager I have known want to blow the doors off the game.A big GOAL can build the “Fire of enthusiasm.”
WHERE IS YOUR SONS GUTSY COACH…AUDACIOUS LEADER?
Parenting/Management/Leadership?It makes no difference if your SON IS…at HOME or WORK…
How you raise your Son…The method?The system?The procedure?
IT’S all the same.
1. Set the highest…biggest goal…ever dreamed possible..
2. Make adjustments as you manage – time, space, and material…
3. Test results…every hour of every day.Know where you are!
For example:
Imagine flying to the moon…testing results every ten-seconds.
Imagine navigation from L.A. to Hong Kong… testing results every hour.
Your School Superintendent does not know how to test the value of his own work.
So how does he know: ”Am I kicking butt or mumbling mediocrity?”
Testing--is the Magic Word…for all managers who want to make a difference…
Give this man respect… Mr. J.C. Penny—A master of testing for results. His life got better at home… and at work because he understood:
· Human nature.
· How this world works.
· How to increase his value to others.
All introduced in my list of practical words you use everyday….
When “so-called” professionals have a PhD degree… they have a philosophy with no final results. NO goal.
A philosophical debate can continue forever without putting… gut feelings -- heart and soul on the table!
Truth is this word “Professionalism” is a creative LIE invented to increase the size of your superintendent’s paycheck.
This is NOT your superintendent’s own-personal plan…but it’s a reality that has been going on for years.
Management is both a skill and an art…This word, “professionalism,” does not improve the bottom line.
Bottom-line…results kick-in with training, experience, passion and commitment.
YOUR SUPERINTENDENT HAS
· LOST HIS GET-UP-AND-GO.
· HE HAS FORGOTTEN THE VALUE OF HIS WORK.
· HE HAS ALLOWED THE MINOR DETAILS TO BEAT-HIM-DOWN
· HE HAS LOST THE BIG GOAL…TO BE # 1 IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY.
I have personally seen this happen to usually good managers.It’s easy to get overwhelmed with details…But there are no excuses…the Big Goal is all that matters.
Training comes FIRST…even if you work at McDonalds!It’s surprising to me.Our colleges have not trained your School Superintendent.It’s so obvious; he does not know how most of his students make a living.
TEACHERS LEARN NEW TRICKS EVERYDAY
But not your Superintendent…
What’s that quotation… “Power corrupts-laziness creeps in.” Managers think they have us Fooled… NO. He only fools himself…
This world has no use for theories on profound questions IN…ethics, metaphysics and academic fields.MOST OF US HAVE TO WORK FOR A LIVING….
Your School Superintendent is teaching your SON to be a doctor, lawyer, or a professional of some kind.
He‘s BETRAYING your trust…let-you-down clearly lost sight of what your SON needs.
I have nothing against doctors, lawyers or engineers, but I do know only 1% to 3% of your SONS High School buddies will become professionals.
We don’t want to dissect frogs and argue about the price of tea in china? Young men I hang out with -- want to know -- how is knowing what happened in the year 1492… going to put money in “my” wallet?
Winston Churchill believed-Educated men discover wisdom with the daily habit of reading Quotations.
CLASSIFIED HELP WANTED ADS want your SON to bring something to the Table.He can use… energy, enthusiasm, integrity -- respect and self-respect.
Your Sons future BOSS wants to know? Are you somebody? Do you stand for something?
His GUT FEELINGS ARE … “If you don’t have a personality…GET ONE!”
Will you…
Be courteous to customers?
Listen to customers?
Act on what customers want?
It’s true…your School Superintendent wants to spoon-feed as many professional students as possible… it’s a feather in his or her cap.
But, teenagers also need a feather… they are ready to go to work now. But, big companies complain:
The Wheels… Big Guys who hire your SON -- have to teach simple social skills. How to think, listen… walk and talk like you really mean it!

Frankly your School Superintendent should be ashamed. He/she is not listening to YOU or your SON…Good management is not possible
without feedback.
No wonder the last two years of High School are nothing but Hell… For thinking teenagers…
Your Politically Correct School Board Members are not managers
Few understand management skills create GREATNESS. I think their greatest role is to give teachers the Freedom to become the best they can be…
Their role is to pass-along feedback for discussion…Part of each school board meeting should spend time brain-storming, listening to feedback so new ideas…
Too often members think… systems, rules and petty stuff -- make for success. They forget there is only one Goal… ”To be the biggest, best, and the winner of all trophies.”
Many members don’t like my comments.
I SUGGEST IF THE SHOE DOESN’T FIT DON’T WEAR IT.
Stand firmstrongandtall… But prove – “We are better because of New information we discover everyday.
We either grow or die… there is no in between… Give feedback--listen to somebody – a teenager, a parent, and a teacher!
School Board members“if they act”and if they constantly look for a new and better ways:
Have more Power Than The Local Sheriff.
You don’t stop crime… You prevent it…
