Same thing here…administrators try to justify the value of Books they read…Not to TEST AND PROVE…THE TRUE VALUE …

Too many school administrators’…want-to-be-intellectuals…they compete with each other…analyzing the analysis of the analysis. “Pure baloney.”

I used to get a kick out of my gang of hoodlums. When they are whimping-out in any activity…my comment is: “I was a whimp once…thank God I got over it.” They growl…and get the job done.
The Big School Boss in your town has a PhD degree. So his training has taught him how to design pages – in a teacher’s manual…He is by nature an Academic. Ask him,
“Have you helped my son learn how to make a buck today?”
Instead he has written a ”Lazy Mans” paper system he thinks will solve his problems… Systems do not work…passionate teachers who care–DO!
Every management consultant I know of…wants decisions made at a commonsense gut-level – with a test that proves…the use of time, space, and material is shooting for the moon…Not retirement at big walnut desk in the corner office.
Systems create mediocrity…Big Time. Politically correct school managers do not see the Big picture. Believe it or not…he has the Power to design classes that will kick-your-Son into high gear.

IMAGINE THIS: The L.A. Lakers trying to be excellent? To be excellent would be like trying to put a marsh mellow in a keyhole.
No Challenge! Lakers, very much – like every teenager I have known want to blow the doors off the game. Big goals and a strong self-image can build a “Fire” that works like gangbusters…
Where is your Sons gutsy coach, audacious leader – School Superintendent?
If he doesn’t want your SON to be #1 at
home and at work…who does he want him to be?
Parenting/Management/Leadership? It makes no difference if your SON IS…at HOME or WORK…

I recently had a discussion with a 22 year experienced Board Member. He said, “We have to count the money and write Grants and on and on.” I was raised on a farm…I know heifer-dust when I see it…
An effective manager, coach or School Superintendent is out on the floor where the problems are.
I believe if he/she is not wearing-out one-pair-of-shoes-a-month this Superintendent is not doing the job…Period!

I read this book when I was sixteen.I remember when working in Wilson Hardware in Live Oak, Calif…a cranky rich old lady who hated every living creature…suddenly learned how to smile.
This incident changed her attitude, and mine.It proved…my newfound Dale Carnegie-social skills do work…Suddenly, “I’m no longer a “punk kid.” “Hey MOM, it feels good to be a real person.”
A wish for you…If you and I ever come face-to-face to help your Son…I suggest you at least skim -- Dale Carnegies book first…Our conversation will be short and sweet because we are on the same page. “

Parenting/Management/Leadership?It makes no difference if your SON IS…at HOME or WORK…
How you raise your Son…The method?The system?The procedure?
IT’S all the same.
1. Set the highest…biggest goal…ever dreamed possible..
2. Make adjustments as you manage – time, space, and material…

Truth is this word “Professionalism” is a creative LIE invented to increase the size of your superintendent’s paycheck.
This is NOT your superintendent’s own-personal plan…but it’s a reality that has been going on for years.
Management is both a skill and an art…This word, “professionalism,” does not improve the bottom line.
Bottom-line…results kick-in with training, experience, passion and commitment.

I have personally seen this happen to usually good managers.It’s easy to get overwhelmed with details…But there are no excuses…the Big Goal is all that matters.
Training comes FIRST…even if you work at McDonalds!It’s surprising to me.Our colleges have not trained your School Superintendent.It’s so obvious; he does not know how most of his students make a living.

This world has no use for theories on profound questions IN…ethics, metaphysics and academic fields.MOST OF US HAVE TO WORK FOR A LIVING….
Your School Superintendent is teaching your SON to be a doctor, lawyer, or a professional of some kind.

I have nothing against doctors, lawyers or engineers, but I do know only 1% to 3% of your SONS High School buddies will become professionals.
